One Christmas, JoAnns had this great sale on fabric and I bought all kinds of things with no idea what I was going to do with it all. This was before I started quilting and my thoughts tended towards making clothes for the grandkids. When Jasmyn joined our home, I decided to make her some clothes, having made for all the other grandkids. I had several cute flannel fabrics, but not enough of any one to make an outfit. Don't ask me how I came up with the idea -- I'm not even certain myself. I took one of the patterns I had, and split it down the middle, and then alternated the fabrics for a harlequin style. It was cute but still needed something. A hat from a different pattern was made, but it didn't quite go together. I started pinching the front, pulling the back, adding embellishments, and before you know it...
