On one of my groups, Quilting2Friendship, we were presented with a scrap challenge. On another group, CrossCreekAwesomeSunbonnetSue, a request was made for 6" (finished) hearts, made in any style (pieced, embroidered, appliqued) for sympathy quilts. When I sat down to make the hearts, I realized I should take the opportunity to use up some of my collection of scraps. The best part of this was I used fabric scraps I'd collected from other sewers when they were being thrown away. I've had most of this fabric for 2 years, often wondering why I'd "rescued" it. Now I know why. They were waiting to become hearts.
