I like to use leftovers from my spaghetti sauce recipe.
Starting with an unsliced, preferably day-old, french (or sour-dough) crusty bread, I slice it like a sub sandwhich. Heat oven and warm bread at about 200° F. In the meantime, warm your sauce (stove-top or microwave) until it's medium-hot. Layer bread with sauce, your favorite cheese(s) and any other toppings you like. Increase oven temperature to 375° F and put your bread pizza in the oven (on a cookie sheet) until cheese melts.
